Visionary Heights, Inc. started in September 2014 as Creative Heights Houston, a private space that held private house concerts and combined them with art from local artists. Since that beginning, we have grown and evolved. We hold regular house concerts, featuring new or established artists and local art. Both the musicians and artists love it because it brings in a diverse audience and creates a conversation about music, art, and creative expression. We also hold themed art shows and a singer-songwriter song swap with Ken Gaines on every third Sunday.
Visionary Heights is a 501(c) 3 Non-Profit Organization (NPO) that serves as Houston’s first Arts Incubator that supports all the creative arts: music, visual arts and performance. We mentor amateur and professional visual artists, musicians and performers and give them the tools to build a successful career. If you would like to support our mission, please make a donation or volunteer.
Located in the Historic Heights, the 300+ sq. ft. performance space has excellent acoustics for unplugged performances. The space that can exhibit between 20 and 30 pieces of art, depending on size and configuration. It opens into an open kitchen and refreshment area. Our reception area is also available as exhibit space. The space reflects its 1940s industrial origins with concrete and wood flooring. Because of the age of the building, we are not wheel-chair friendly. Parking is also limited as we are located in a residential neighborhood.
